Tulips: February 2026

Welcome to the first edition of Beyond the Garden Gate — a way for us to connect outside the monthly mail, and to share some of the behind the scenes that isn't as easy to send in an envelope. Think of it as an invite into my garden — come in through the gate, the kettle's on and the fire's going.

Because I wanted this to feel like more than a blog post — more like a real conversation — I recorded a short audio to walk you through the page. It's about 9 minutes, so pour something warm, press play, and I'll guide you through everything.

Start Here. Press Play.

A little visit to the tulip farm that showed me a fork in the road.

The Tulip Farm:

(Everyone should have friends that water the seeds of your dreams.)

If you're in Oregon, here's more information on visiting
the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm.

The Painting:

A little bit of time-lapse painting (I wish I could paint so fast in real life!).

The Farm:

I wish these would hurry up and bloom. I am excited to see what they actually look like. I'll send you an update next month.

Connection:

You can find me over at Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. I'd love for you to swing by and say hi if you're on any of those platforms!

If you'd like to sign up for my mailing list to receive mail in your inbox (not mailbox this time), I send out email once a week on Thursday. Join here.

If you'd like to explore my website, it's here: Petals in Post.

Comments:

Please leave a comment below and introduce yourself, ask a question, tell a story...anything you want...but please remember the comment won't show up immediately (so you didn't do anything wrong and you don't have to start over). I'll check back regularly to get the comments posted and keep the spam bots out.

Thanks for hanging out with me. See you at the end of March!
